I was on the phone with an Internet providers “Help and support” Trying to get my internet to work, and in the process he had me type in some codes in command prompt which has come to my attention that it was a mistake, and now somehow my computer can’t pick up wireless signals anymore. If someone could maybe help me out that would be awesome. thanks

  3. Hi DJ,

Could you please tell me why the installation of the fglrx drivers (HP 6515b) is spposed to resolve the “fequently-crashing” issue with Fedora 10?.

My friend installed the fglrx drivers, and says that the other apps show no difference.. (he says he never had the hang problem in the first place.”

    My friend saw this,
If you got timer trouble try acpi_use_timer_override
    ACPI: LAPIC (acpi_id[0x01] lapic_id[0x00] enabled)
    ACPI: LAPIC (acpi_id[0x02] lapic_id[0x01] enabled)
    ACPI: LAPIC_NMI (acpi_id[0x01] high edge lint[0x1])
acpiphp: ACPI Hot Plug PCI Controller Driver version: 0.5
    acpiphp_glue: can’t get bus number, assuming 0
    acpiphp: Slot [1] registered
acpiphp: pci_hp_register failed with error -17
    acpiphp_glue: acpiphp_register_hotplug_slot failed (err code = 0xffffffef)
    acpi device:03: registered as cooling_device6

and said its an ACPI issue that is causing the hanging…
i havent installed fglrx bceause im on vacation at my grandma’s place and have no nternet here..

Just wanted to let you know that Element Browser what you tested years ago is going to be released as Element Browser 3 Beta 1 next week, and its being updated very regularly.

I would like to know your opinions on it if you wouldnt mind.

    Thanks 🙂
